Once again, the Falstaff tasted at the Kremstal DAC Riedencup the wines from single vineyards that came onto the market in the second half of the year. The density of top wines was once again extremely high – there were 43 wines scoring 94/100 points or more! It was therefore all the more pleasing that the 2023 vintage of our Riesling Ried Moosburgerin was able to keep up with the top wines: With 95/100 points, it was ranked 10th among the Rieslings and 15th overall (i.e. Riesling and Grüner Veltliner). What we like even more than this great rating is the consistency that the Moosburgerin has shown in recent years: the 2021 and 2020 vintages also received 95 points from Falstaff!

And this is what Falstaff says about our Moosburgerin:

“Pale yellow-green with silver reflections. Delicate white tropical fruit, a hint of peach, fresh lychee, floral nuances. Tightly woven, fine fruit sweetness in the core, finely chiselled acidity, multi-faceted, salty nuances in the finish, appears very light-footed, harmonious, shows good length, a promising food companion.”
